Somo beach is 2 km of golden sand that stretches from “el Puntal” up to the village of Loredo. The beach is flanked by urban areas, sand dunes and pine forests. The vibe is very much surf orientated. The beach always offers a variety of quality peaks to choose from.

Optimum tide: Varies depending on the sand banks and skill level.

Opt. wind direction: S, SW, Not great with Easterlies, but cliffs offer good protection from NW when Somo and Loredo are onshore.

Opt. Swell: --

Level: Ideal for beginners when tide is high. Low tide to mid tide, great for intermediates.

Langre is a truly beautiful beach. Surfing takes place on the 1000 meter main beach surrounded by spectacular cliffs and grazing grounds. This wave is a favourite for long-boarders and always has a strong international presence in the water.

Small beach flanked by reefs and high cliffs. The actual beach-front is relatively narrow, however it’s a very long beach. On high tide its great for kids because of all the rock pools that appear.

Ideal swell size: Needs large swell to work. 6ft to 12ft.

Level: Experienced surfers only.

Legendary spot for big wave surfing. Few have the skills required to surf this wave yet more and more surfers are willing to give it a go. Big wave board and the right leash are a must.
