Gros beach has as many as three well defined peaks. Although there are waves all along the beach, there are usually three areas where waves are more common. The Mompas area receives the greatest force of the sea and this is where locals choose to surf. The mid-zone can offer high quality waves in different peaks and finally the surf school groups usually take over the breakwater area where the great force of the sea generates long left and right waves.

Agiti cove is located under Mount Igeldo. The shore is just soil and rocks with no sand and it is difficult to get to along a sinuous and barely used path. It is not the kind of place you pass by or visit but it is also a peaceful place, at one with the sea.
